LULA – No one was injured in a traffic accident that shut down Clarks Bridge Road in Hall County for nearly six hours Thursday morning.
“A car hit a power pole and took the power pole down,” Jackson EMC Senior P.R. Communication Representative K.D. Graham said.
Word of the accident came into the WDUN Traffic Center around 6:26 a.m. and continued to be a item of interest all morning.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, initial reports indicated a truck hit the pole near the intersection of Honeysuckle Road and came to rest in a field. Troopers said no one was injured.
The downed pole had power crews on the scene into the afternoon repairing the damage.
“We were looking at about 785 customers out,” Graham said.
According to the EMC, the majority of power customers had electricity restored by 10:30 a.m., with the remaining six off until about 1:00 p.m.
